Your posts make me laugh. Driving is not a right; it's a privilege. I feel it is my privilege to push my car to whatever speed I want. I know the potential consequences of my actions and I drive accordingly. It's not like I do triple digit speeds every where I go, lol. But, I have two cars and a motorcycle. If I'm in my Supra, it's to enjoy myself with a fun driving experience. As far as the speed limit goes, I drive the speed limit or ~ 5-10 mph over normally. It's when I have room to stretch my legs that I push the limit.

As far as going to the track, I do go to the track . But, it's not like I'm going to see a Ferrari/Lambo/Exotic/Sports Car on the road and ask him, "hey... let's not do this on the street. How about meeting me at the track on the next test and tune day?"

All I see with this is you need to buy better tires and check their pressure regularly. My Z rated tires are rated to above 186 mph by the manufacturer, and there is no reason for me to wonder "am I going to get a blow out today?" every time I get in the car.

Again, if something can happen at any time, then what's the point of worrying about it? As long as I do proper maintenance and buy quality products, the chance of getting a blow out is severely diminished. I agree that it can happen any time, but the chance of it happening at just the right moment would have to be a case of pure chance.

While at it, post some pic and vid too.
I posted my story yesterday, but here you go

Here is a video I made during Sunday's cruise:

Be sure to note the 65 to 125+ mph pull at the 3:55 mark.

Here is a 60 - 140 mph pull a few years back:

And... I saved the best for last. This was my first street race ever back in 2003:

Note: You can see me shift into 6th gear. We hit 165 mph on that first race
