Fitting the Sprint kit requires wheels with appropriate offsets to clear the calipers. There's a thread on here where you can see which wheels clears them. I think even Essex website lists some confirmed fitments. Bear in mind that just because a certain size and offset on one type of wheels clears, it doesn't mean it applies to other wheels even in the same size and offset. The spoke design plays a big role in whether a wheel would clear your calipers.
By the way if I were you I'd go for the Sprint kit. It's been developed specifically for our platform and even the hardcore track guys abuse them with success. You'd also get much better support from Essex and this online community since so many others are using the Sprint.
