second and third pics show the bike in the trunk with the rear wheel on. It was tricky, but it fit. On my bike, the part from the bottom of the chain ring to the top of the seat is just barely able to pass through the trunk opening. If you have long legs you might need to lower your seat to get it in.

i also managed to fit my road bike in there in the same fashion. odly enough my bike is also black green ! weird
