It'll work. Everybody who has this happen has trouble with the lock. You just have to turn it harder. It will give way and open.

i found my spare key which managed to work (strange). got my hood open, and you were right about the battery being dead. but what gives? I checked to see if any of the lights were on and everything was already set to off, should I be concerned about my car dying out from a 4-day vacation?
