They could have dropped a 2.5L in it for North American clients so there would be more torque and you could keep up with a V6 Camry without straining the engine. Only thing is this isn't a drag racer and fuel economy is a high priority these days.

Once you get the engine going its very good IMHO especially with an OTS tune.

Yes I wish it had a higher low end torque curve that was flat to 5000 RPMs, and yes the one flaw I experience daily is feeling like I'm pushing it to match the quiet take off of a Sienna van. But that's partially due to different gearing. Also, for the BoM set by the manufacturer, they had to prioritize things a bit.

If you prefer quicker off the line acceleration there are other choices in the market for similar money. If you want the best possible driving feel and handling dynamics there is no better choice for the money at this time.

If you want both and are prepared to up the anti, there's the Porsche Boxster for WAY more money or FI and no warranty for the twins for considerably less.
