Carbon Fiber doesn't necessarily crack easy. I've seen $900 real ABT Sportline carbon fiber lip / plate that is installed underneath the painted ABT front under spoiler of Golf GTIs and it doesn't crack even with crazy abuse (it'll look like crap tho).
