Supercharged doesn't make anything safer unless you are referring to Max boost level.
My turbo was daily driven and I was not really in boost during my drive to work with the exception of the on ramp if I didn't have slow people in front of me that like to get on the interstate at 45-55.
Turbos build to boost and many of the popular supercharger setups do as well. I failed due to a known and apparently unsolved issue that a tsb is out for. It can and has happened to others the difference seems to be I'm the second boosted one to experience it that I found.

I chose to go v8 because putting in another motor that there is no fix for just seems to be asking for a problem.
