I just spoke to a local BRZ owner with the Valenti reverse light and he gave me this advice for the basic wiring to get the red portions lighting up with running lights, etc.

"Valenti light blue [wire] tapped to red wire in [OEM] tails harness. Valenti red [wire] tapped to light green wire in [OEM] tails harness. That should give you the basic functionality"
