Unfortunately NCRC requires the 86Cup drivers to be in Point By or Open groups (experienced track drivers/driving). Because of the nature of achieving best lap time, 86Cup participants are much more affluent with the track, aware of other drivers, and very comfortable with their FR-S/BRZ. Only way to achieve those is to attend instructed driving schools and open track days.

That said, you are not the only one trying to achieve such experiences. There are a few that are attending schools and solo groups. As a matter of fact, one or two are completing their intro-to-track-driving educations and have been cleared (or will be) to move up to Point-By. They have (or will) sign up for the 86Cup.

You are welcome to attend an 86Cup event with NCRC and see if a participant is willing to give you a ride along. It's quite the educational experience to see how some of these drivers go thru the track so fast.
