It's different by State. Some states it's illegal to drive with missing body panels, other States don't care. And of course even if you're in a State that doesn't have a law on the books, it doesn't mean you won't get a cop who feels like harassing you.

But either way, it's probably less than a fifty percent chance anything bad will happen.
