If as you say the throttle responds as soon as you see the throttle position in the log move i suspect it may be a mechanical adjustment needed on the throttle pedal, probably a bit of freeplay if it does it all the time.

I'll have to take a closer look at the pedal to see if there is any adjustment there. Next time I flash I'll get down there with a ruler and measure the deadband and see how it changes over a few driving cycles. After a few weeks, maybe 30 driving cycles (WAG), I bet there is less than 2mm of deadband which is barely noticeable.
