Did you seriously gather those data while tracking your car? Seems to be highly dangerous reving to the rev limit, looking at your speedo, and memorizing the speed at such speed. The easier and more intelligent way would be to calculate the max speed based on gear ratios.

It is exactly as I wrote in my post. Those that push their cars to the limit on public roads need to man up and take it to the track. If you think that's uncalled for, perhaps you should do some research into fatalities and injuries caused by speed and reckless driving on the street. If you drive like that on public roads, then yes, you are an idiot.
The second part of your post is a bit comical. Why would you think I would be redlining each gear, looking at my tach/speed, and memorizing speeds per gear? The "easier and more intelligent way" (to quote language from your post) would actually be to use the data from a magazine that's tested the max speed per gear using GPS-based equipment. Which is what I did.
