i actually went out and tested it

only does multiple downshifts below 60MPH anything above it goes gear by gear

and you can do triple downshifts lol! just went out and tested it

at 20 mph you can go from 4th - 1st and at 40mph you can go 5th - 2nd. You just have to be really fast at hitting the paddles.
