Exactly. You can't force it to be more unless she wants it to be, and it isn't a matter of convincing. Just trying to do so is going to drive a wedge there and destroy what you already have.
You've done been "friend zoned", and you're stuck there until she decides otherwise. Deal with it and move on.
As far as how I know these things: I've been friend zoned more times than you can imagine. It sucks. It sucks even worse as a teenager than when you're older. Best advice (but isn't going to feel very good, but it definitely hurts worse than getting hurt MORE) is to simply deal with it. Either cut ties or accept that you're ONLY going to be friends and learn to act like it. Life hurts. You can't change that. Welcome to the school of "getting your heart stepped on".
