might be a good idea to head out the night before cos u don't want to wake up at 4AM, drive for 3 hours and then drive for 2 hours on the heated track more.
It is very hot there - average about 100, so prolly should get covered parking (if not, u can share the covered sitting area with us - prolly at least 5-6 of us will have covered parking) 
there is a walmart for all ur water/ice needs.
