So after reading a bunch of things about tires, I still dont know what I should get. My main concern is if they work well cramming a 235/245 on a 7 inch rim for autoX. I"m pretty aggressive on the gas if that makes a difference.
Setup:
-1 degree front camber
Koni Yellow Shocks.
I've narrowed it down to the AD08R (which we are allowed to run in C street next year in Canada since Yoko is a tire sponsor), R1R (same comment as AD08R), RS3, Rivals, Z2 which I want to get in a 235 or 245 wide size...if they fit....not sure if 245 will clear the shocks. I'm running +42 offset.
These are my opinions from what I've read...they may or may not be truth since I dont know...I"ve only driven on Z1's...so correct me if I"m wrong.
AD08R: dont know too much about this tire except that the sidewalls are stiff and they perform well according to reviews
R1R: mushy tires...havent read too much on if wide tires on a narrow rim works too well with these tires
RS3: mushy tires, they're sticky but cycle out quickly. Do they work well if you cram a 235/245 on a narrow rim?
Rivals: heard mostly good things about them. Good review on cramming 235/245s on 7" rim.
Z2: heard mostly good things about them. Good review on cramming 235/245s on 7" rim.
Comments are appreciated!
