This is what I did to get my BRZ for a great price. I had 2k to put down and an 07 wrx to trade (motor was knocking something fierce tho).

Go to dealership A and see what they will give you for a price. say the car there is 27,500 so after cash down it will be 25,500 minus trade (3,500 in my case ) comes out to 22,000.

Go to dealership B and tell them what dealership A is offering. Dealership B will most likely offer you a bit more for trade and take a bit of the top. So they drop price of car to 26,500 and give you 500 more in trade. so your looking at a deal that is 1,500 better.

Take the price dealership B gave you, go back to dealership A and share that price with them. and tell them that is without your trade in. If dealership wants to sell you the car, they will match that price.

I did this out here in Cali and got a better deal by also 6k dollars because the first dealership matched what I said the other offer was (which did not include the trade in). They lowered there price substaintially and then still took my car for trade.

Numbers are not perfect but pretty much I walked out paying just under MSRP for a limited AFTER tax and AFTER getting every extended coverage, warranty, and permiplate clear coat instead of taking an initial offer which once all this included brought the cost of the car up to 34,somethingK.

monthly payment went from $480 to $400, over 72 months = 5,760 dollars I do not have to pay.

If the dealership wants the Sale, they will make the sale. There is A LOT MORE WIGGLE room than they lead you on to believe. Get the dealership manager on the phone with the district manager and good things will happen.

This was my case, I hope yours turns out to be successful as well. And boom your in a BRZ GOOD LUCK!

EDIT: My car was a brand new 2014 BRZ Limited, with homelink mirror, bumper applique in silver with 14 miles on it, driven from one dealership to another where I bought it
