Why does pricing seem so sporadic?

So, hopefully in a few months I'll be buying a BRZ. My Honda fit that I was going to trade in got backed into by a coach touring bus in a parking lot, and because of that what dealers are willing to give has gone down substantially even though its fixed Makes me so mad that someone elses stupidity counts against me in this case

So I've been looking at used BRZ's. With anything in life I like to search for a deal, im not the type to buy new unless its something I need to. I live in Upstate New York, and while in 2013 there were quite a few BRZ's around it seems they have all but gone and dissapeared. I can only imagine people find RWD in the snow a bit intimidating and I know of a few kids that wrecked.

Anyways back on topic, Im willing to drive to pickup my car so I've been searching in the ~300 mile range or so for now from my area and ive noticed that the used BRZ market seems to fluctuate massively, and in a lot of cases seems to have no relation to mileage.

2013 SWP Limited BRZ near Boston Massachusets - 22,800 with 3000kmi
2013 SWP Limited BRZ in New Jersey - 24,800 with ~9000kmi
2013 SWP Limited here locally - 26,000 with 15,000kmi
2013 WRB Limited Massachusets - 21,900 with 5,000kmi
2013 Silver Limited here in new york, 25,000 with 12,000kmi

WHy are the pricings so all over the place? I know things change in different areas but in general these are all within a few hours of eachother and it seems insane that some dealers are still trying to charge a few thousand under sticker for a 2013 used BRZ.

I've spoken to 2 dealers who told me honestly straight up that they don't care about making money on the BRZ specifically, they just want to show sales on them. People trade them in before winter, accidents etc

I went to a local dealer and looked at possibly seeing what I could do on a brand new one. I offered to put 2,000 down.. My honda fit trade in at ~4000, and asked if he could move the sticker down from their listed 28,600 down a thousand to 27,500, he basically sort of told me to go fuck myself. WHile he did not use those exact words the tone he had was pretty clear.

Just seems crazy that some dealers are willing to work and move them, while others are holding onto them like their gold and trying to squeeze every little penny.
