For CL you want minimal pedal movements but vary the throttle as much as possible. The car will change to OL once you go past a certain pedal amount. I wonder if the OFT can display fuel system status (whether OL or CL) which would make it easy to know while driving. The more time you log, the better the results. Also, you can do more than one journey, so a half hour drive to work and the same again back would be ideal.
