Oh, c'mon. BMW is so easy to understand.
The 3-series are all four doors. The 4-series are all two doors so you don't get them confused with the 3-series. Except for the ones that are actually four doors instead so they're not. And then the 5-series are all four doors. And the 6-series are all two-doors so they aren't confused with the 6-series. Except for those ones that are actually four doors instead because "gran." Then you have the X-series which is all SUVs, except for the X4 and X6 which are kinda like a four door 4 or 6 series BMW slapped on the X3 or X5 so it's a truckcar.
