Recently tried this mod and very happy with new clutch engagement point. Question though: I initially set the pedal too low, and while there was zero grinding (per the OP's test for success), I was immediately able to smell burnt friction disk (just down the block for a test drive). I adjusted the pedal up (just above brake pedal) and seemingly, problem solved. Occasionally though, I feel like I get the slightest whiff of friction material after I park the car. Might be in my head though, or the brakes, or any number of things. Anyone else experience this? Mechanically, if the clutch didn't fully disengage because of the pedal being set too low, I can't see how the clutch would be slipping, resulting in burnt disc? Am I overthinking this, or not thinking enough?
