The dealerships aren't screwing anybody over...the asshole that agrees to pay the markup is the problem.

If they don't sell at $5k markup, they'll simply lower it. You don't really think they will let the car sit unsold for weeks let alone months do you?

And if one dealer is doing the markup, you can bet the others will too when they have only 1 available. I don't care what any salesman on this forum claims his boss told him, when the car actually arrives you'll see plenty of past words/claims that became untrue.
