Ok? Let me explain this to you. When I am pushing the car hard through the mountain roads, which twist, turn and require a lot of shifting and power adapting, a lot of times I found myself in 4th gear around 65/70mph. At this point I am pretty much maxed out to point where I could not literally use any more power without crashing. The car just could not take the corners any faster. So what would more hp do for me here? Allow me to get 1000 ft down the road faster? So I could get to that 4th gear what, a mere .5 sec faster? It just doesn't make sense for me. I believe I'm using the car (track aside) as it was meant to be used. If you have not experienced this car in the some sort of mountainous area than you have not experienced this car.
This is all given the environment I live in, where I am surrounding by the Appalachians. If you're living where it's pretty much flat I understand why you would want more power, but in that event you chose the wrong car.
Finally if you do live in the former and still complain about power, than I believe you just want more power to simply say you have the power, or the idea of knowing it's there. For example, shelby gt500 owners know that there is no possible way they could ever use all that power on real world roads, even on the track they could never fully use it. So why spend all that money? Why would you want power you could never use. The idea of knowing it's there I guess.
