I've driven on cracked Konig's before (not sure if I cracked them or a previous driver cracked them, they were on our endurance car). Then one of the same set cracked on the street.

These were Konig Heliums and they are well known for their cracking and breaking, kinda like the reputation Rota has, except it's actually deserved for Konigs :P
