A few dealers are trying to charge markups but I think they'll be left high and dry when their customers can just go somewhere else get it for less. Those dealers are hoping to cash in on huge wait times which I don't think will ever materialize. All the dealers around here anyways are not even close to selling out their allocations.

Not the case in Atlanta, GA where Subaru is not as popular as in other places. Supposedly only 34-36 BRZs were allocated among 6 dealers. For a population of over 5 million, that's not a lot.
Five dealers charged MSRP and those vehicles were taken up immediately. The sixth dealer charged MSRP + $1,000 (with a significant non-refundable deposit), had 6 allocated, and as of a few days ago sold 5 pre-orders. When I ordered mine on 3/24 there was no choice but to go with the last dealer.
