Judging by what's been posted I doubt OP installed himself no disrespect.
Anyhow I'd find a different more knowledgeable mechanic, one who's more familiar with car and turbos etc....
Also there's a lot to learn just by jacking car up safely on "good" Jack stands and looking and listening. Something may become obvious. Versus posting I'd be all over the engine doing just that like a spider monkey. Much faster results likely...
