This is how I see it:
Of the FI options (the real ones not the ESC), the turbo is obviously the most complicated and expensive and least reliable.
That being said, an SC on this motor is more reliable, cheaper, simpler, running minimal boost, etc. obviously the stress put on the engine is there true. But there are several members on this forum with >300whp who have a significant amount if miles on it without any problems. 90% of the reliability comes from the tune, get a proper tune and you'll have a nice and happy motor.
Plus the SC allows for an OEM+ type of driving feel.
QED: your plan would be more hastle avoiding something that's not nessecarily going to hurt the car's characteristics or engine.
