I was on empty and just a few miles from a VP racing fuels gas station, so for shits and giggles I threw a few gallons of 100 octane, and it silences my crickets. It is definitely the ethanol content that is causing them.
p.s. OMFG the car drives so much better on that fuel than the crappy Cali gas available everywhere else...
