I'd say more incredulity than condescension.

I'm a big fan of analogies, but wouldn't that mean the BRZ design team at Subaru would do the PDI on my new car? Ya, that I would question ;-)

This is really all a storm in a tea cup from people who are new to new car purchasing and another example of how quickly folks on this forum get their knickers in a twist over the littlest thing.

There will always be doomsday anecdotes to point to, but if people do their research, go with a reputable dealer, and have some faith in the professionalism of said dealer, their shouldn't be any issues.

You'll have your new car soonish - with a few miles on it - it'll still be shiney, have that new car smell, and be one massive hoot to drive :-D
