I'm not saying people who think their car is just a car are not car people. We're all on this forum for the love of this platform. I put the part in bold in which I feel about my 86, along with the other vehicles I've owned over the course of my life. If I destroy my car doing what I love doing, I'm fine with that. I drive my 86 the way it was meant to be driven. I'll continue to park away from the crowd of "non-car people" and still have fun.

Well said! I can agree with this. I still tap my car on the nose every night when I get home. Lame, but she got me home safely that day

I think the idea I was trying to convey is that people BABY this car. Hell, I babied the car. It needs to be abused a little! ESPECIALLY a car that is as much fun as this. I'm not going to go out looking for an accident, but not worrying about the little imperfections will have me injoy the car a LOT more I think
