Sir with all your respect with only 10% down on MPGs that's clearly why you didn't see heating issues with your turbo BRZ.
I could easily over heat mine bone stoke on the back roads in 20 to 30 minutes, oil temp 250-290f, coolant would stay below 225f but could hear detonation. After seen that ( and that was mine fist FRS, it die young ) I have no intention to go to the track until I could warranty no heating issues...
For the record my MPGs are low, stoke 19 MPGs with FI 14 MPGs, but when my wife or mom get in the car MPGs sky rocket to 25-30. AFR 12.5 to 13 at WOT, 14 to 14.5 at partial throttle.

So a couple of weeks ago I did track my setup for 35 minutes, MPGs then get really low 10 MPGs and temps under the hood where better that expected, max engine oil temp 225f, coolant 215f, sc oil 195f.
I'm sure that it could also be done with a turbo setup, but take in consideration that I'm running an unorthodox custom made oil cooler setup ( 2 oil coolers for the engine 7.5 qts of oil and one smaller and separate for the sc )
NOTE that I live in the tropic and mine setup isn't for every one! It will only work for the heavy right foot people on hot climate.
