Every time I change wheels, I wipe the studs clean. Been doing this since my S13 days, when I did the same thing every time I changed my wheels out (Nismo extended studs).
No issues with my ARP studs after about 6 months. Close to 10k miles on the car in that timeframe.

I will have to try wiping the studs clean as well.
Should buy a new torque wrench too...
I'm still wondering if I should be looking into better quality lugs.
