The thing to keep in mind here is that Subaru/Toyota has been updating the ROM's of the cars, from 700 to A00, then A01, then B00 and B01. It's likely that you were experiencing the idle issue because of the ROM revision in your car was an earlier one, and the last tunes were updated to the latest ROM revision by the tuner.
Ecutek does it's best to keep up with updates from the manufacturer for this reason, often the manufacturer is making changes to the ROM files to fix issues that were on the early release models.
