Working on Leon's track day video right now and will be up later today.
I wanted to give you guys a few excerpts from his driver's summary of the
autocross day as well.
To give you some context on his perspective, Leon has driven his S2000 in 5 track days and as mentioned earlier is one of our Engineers. This was his first time driving our BRZ (or any BRZ or FR-S for that matter) in a motorsports event.
Here's some of his comments:
- Left TC and ASC on first run, very intrusive
- Car is very grip-limited in all aspects: braking, cornering, accelerating
- Lots of turn-in understeer as well as mid-corner (steady state) understeer
- The throttle pedal, on the other hand, is very annoying. Engine does not tip-in until pedal is depressed by ½” or so; makes smooth takeoffs and part-throttle modulation more difficult than it should be
- Need more headroom! (Leon is 6'2")
