How are my suspension components made out of superior material and capable of wide ranges of adjustments decreasing value? I'm not talking about a shitty carbon-wrapped hood that's only for aesthetics.

I'll just come out and say it: if you try to get a car with aftermarket parts on the cheap then we're not going to agree on things. I guarantee that not one of you guys saying parts decrease in value fresh-out-the-box would sell a used part for less than 85% of it's original value. By that logic, all coilovers in the FS threads would be $700 and TE37s would cost $1500.

That's ludicrous.
It comes down to once you start modding the car you are going to appeal to a smaller population of people who also like to mod their car to the same taste you have.

And the other problem you may find is that many people who like to mod their cars don't want to buy one that has already been modded to someone elses's taste. Many people enjoy the modding aspect and that is a big part of the fun for them (buying the parts and putting them on).

I think you are overthinking this. Put the car up for sale at the price you feel it is worth with the mods. Whether that is $26K or $22K and then let the market dictate to you the price.

Also look through the classifieds on here and see what other people have asked for with mods currently, and in the past and see what the general prices are and how long it is taking to sell the car. So much of this is regional and finding that one buyer out of a thousand or so who has the exact same taste as you in mods.
