What's been proven? I can prove with my bank account that I don't make a dollar from here.

This stuff happens in every community. And *every* vendor will have a bad experience with someone so I guess we should ban all vendors?

I wanted to know who was threatened because I suspect there's more to the story than what he/she told you. I can probably bet who it is and if it is that person than I know for a fact that they did more than post a bad review. I had to clean up some of it.

You of all people know that I don't protect the vendors here when they are full of shit. I've led the admins to the removal of a couple vendors now and the departure (by their choice) of at least one more who was mad that I wouldn't let him do whatever he wanted.

On the flip side, I'll strongly defend any vendors that I've had positive experiences with.

Regarding the vendor in question, I don't buy LEDs for my cars so I've never dealt with him. Based on the first bad review I saw (from someone I've actually met in person) I wouldn't have bought from them.

Since when is it our responsibility to protect users from themselves? When you go and buy a new TV do you pick the cheapest vendor on the internet without research? Why would you do so when buying car parts off a forum vendor?

It is our responsibility to try to serve the forum and remove users and vendors that are scamming people. I try to do that to the best of my ability but unfortunately I don't have a time machine to go back and prevent people from getting scammed. There are ALWAYS victims before someone's true colors come out unfortunately. Bad customer service by itself isn't an indicator that a vendor will start scamming people.

Every vendor I've worked with here has been great to deal with. I don't price shop though nor do I go with the unknown shops, perhaps these guys making 3% margins should be avoided by the user?
