Can you really not understand how not getting a tune but still seeing gains would be attractive to some people?

I definitely see how it would be attractive to people and I have seen the gains without a tune. It's pretty nice, but even the vendor themselves stated the possibility of throwing CEL's with other bolt ons together. You're messing with the intake and exhaust flow of the stock tune so the risk is there of a CEL. I don't know many people that just buy a header and say, "I'm done with mods!"
The dealer won't have any clue about a flash unless they really deep dive and do an analysis on the ECU. You're giving them too much credit. They're actually pretty dumb hence the reason I tend to avoid them as much as possible. Having the Ecutek stock flash is handy for dealer trips. The too rich and too lean codes are probably the most common ones thrown in this situation depending on header/intake combo.
