You may not "need" the extras, but for me it makes it a nicer place to be.

-17" wheels: nicer design than the std spec IN MY OPINION
-Bigger front disks
-Bigger and vented rear disks and calipers
-Cluster with white rev counter and digital speedometer. Analogue speedometer is not the easiest to read quickly.
-Programmable shift light & buzzer
-Proper alcantara/leather seats
-Heated seats: don't need
-Bi-xenon headlights are superb
-Auto headlights: nice to have
-LED daytime running lights completes the look
-Passive keyless entry with stop/start. Love this!
-Cruise control: already explained above
-Dual zone auto climate control: adds to the "cockpit" look & feel
-Various leather trim around the center console a big improvement over the plastic in the std spec
The bigger wheels make a huge difference to the look of the car. My one main gripe with the 86 is that the rear wheels "look" too small, they are stuck in and there is a huge gap between top of tyre and wheel arch. With the 16inch wheels this looks even worse (even if the actual gap is the same). The rear wheels look even more out of place with the trd body kit. I've lowered the suspension and put spacers in to fix this and it looks a gazillion times better. It also handles better of course but its still easy to get the tail out with the additional power of the supercharger.

Heated seats I've never used, cruise control is nice now and again, keyless entry is great, other cosmetic stuff is all nice to have. I cannot imagine driving without the digital speedo. So High every time. The idea that Low is "race spec" made me chuckle.
