With the warmer weather, they woke up a bit but just a mild case. Got 2.5oz of Lucas upper cylinder... in the tank and presto. Gone. I also notice lately that 91 oct, althought OK, is not the designed 93oct (read it in the manual if I recall correctly) and you hear clearly quite often some pinging when you accelerate, or even when blipping the gaz pedal. I just filled my tank of Petro-Canada 94 E10. The crickets came back as loud as I ever heard them. Since it was all part of a calculated plan I had a quart of Lucas Semi-synthetic 2-cycle motorcycle oil. Added 2 ounces to tank and the crickets went away completely. As for the pinging, the jury is still debating but I think it works better now. Time will tell and I will report on results afetr a few tanks and with warmer temperature.

Update 2
I thought I was in the clear but as temperature rose Petro Can 94 E10 plus 2-stroke Lucas OR Lucas UCL did not keep the engine completely cricket free. Maybe not a swarm of cricket can back but a handful. Now, I go to the trouble of mixing 94 E10 + 91 E0 half/half and I add 1 oz of 2-stoke Lucas. I get no crickets, reduced pinging due to 92.5 effective octane rating and a smoother idling engine. My next step would be I think a Tune but that means investing in a new ECU gizmo which I think is pretty expensive.
