I have to agree with the overwhelming sentiment that it was a resounding success. So many awesome people and beautiful cars. The huge diversity in drivers (young, old, some in the middle, guys, and gals) really speaks to not just the broad appeal of the 86 but to the openness that this group has. Also, everyone is so damn nice and respectful! No, burnouts, no racing or revving, no obnoxious loud music. It may be the old-fart in me but there is a time and a place for everything and this wasn't it. Hats off to everyone
Giant thanks to the organizers for hosting the event and to the vendors and sponsors! Those were some amazing prizes. There is a ton of work that goes on behind the scenes and I am grateful for the hard work to make it happen. As we grow in size it becomes more and more difficult to find a spot for the event that can hold all of the cars in the same lot. Hopefully, next time we can get all of the cars together.
And to the Southbay folks, I promise to pre-run the
whole route next time
And, finally, some pics that I took (that didn't come out too blurry)
