Glad to hear you guys are enjoying the splitter! As we stated earlier, we have been working on a "race version" that will increase downforce and handle the additional loads at higher rates of speed. Paul has come up with the pieces that will add downforce and I have been working on the splitter ties for reduced deflection.
These are very much prototypes so that I can get the correct tie length and prove design concept.
The final version will put the rod end in double shear for added reinforcement, the tie will likely be a piece of single machined billet, etc. Currently I can stand near the tie rod with minimal deflection.
Question for everyone. Their are two mounting points I can go with on the crash beam. One way will require drilling on a pre-existing hole and then adding a riv-nut. The other will require you to drill holes through the pinch weld (pictured below) and then bolt and nut. Looking for what you guys would prefer so that I can continue to advance the design. If you have another thought, let me know as well.
