Just got my car tinted today and I made sure to ask them a lot of questions prior to the appointment.

I would suggest that you ask them some of the following:

What brand of tint film do they use?
Is there a warranty attached to the film?
How long do these installations usually take?

Also check them out on Yelp. There are plenty of customers whom will show off their tint jobs on the listing.

As far as which brand is better, I don't have much of an answer to that but a lot of window tinters around my area offered 3M but I'm sure some knowledgeable members of this forum will be happy to answer that.

On a side note, the first call which took a while due to questions net me a price quote which sounded fair. The second call a few days later was simply to set an appointment and they quoted me lower. (Hope that's helpful to some people)

Anyways, here's how my 2014 Argento FR-S is looking like after today's service:

Johnson's Film
35% Sides and Rear
$170 OTD (Tints and Service, no Tax)
Lifetime Warranty on film
Done at Best Image in San Mateo, CA.
