I dont understand all the scion hate. If Scion is to ever come out of its Eco-box ricer POS persona, They are going to need a car that will push them through that barrier. For me it was the stupid Scion Nation tv spots which looked like a bunch of Fast and the Furious rejected extras and how every marketing blurb and ad was telling me that these square, over-sized Echos were what I, being the target demographic, wanted.
The problem is they don't want to create a legendary car to push through. They want a legendary marketing campaign. This company is the interpretation of what an enthusiast company is except it's been created by marketing douchebags and accountants that have no real clue what an actual enthusiast is.
Re-bodied Toyota NASCAR racer as a Scion Formula D entry? Give me a break. Am I supposed to go run out and buy a FWD tC to be like Tanner Foust after watching him race?
