Do people realize that dyno pulls and racing are 2 different things?
Show me somebody who is racing, regularly and revs it to 8K and let's see how long their engine will last.
Have you guys looked at the rocker arm design of our motors?
I'm surprised they last to 7400...

I have seen plenty of FI dyno graphs here with people running to 8k. Is it safe? Unkown. So far it seems alright.
In the end it is your motor and if I had your setup and the torque curve stayed flat or kept increasing past 7400 rpm then I would probably choose to run up to 8k rpms to take advantage of that at the risk of more wear and tear.
