Solved: Factory BRZ head unit going into protection mode
I completed my audio install last night and my stock head unit keeps going into, what I'm guessing is protection mode, between 5 seconds and 1-2 minutes of play... it stays powered and everything but all audio silences, even my sub, until I power it off and on again. Has anyone else had this happen?
I am using the factory head unit low level output (from the factory amp harness) and feeding the signal into a crossover to get only highs, and feeding the output back into the factory amp. This part is probably not relevant, but the crossover also uses that same signal and outputs lows (in a separate RCA) for my aftermarket amp/sub.
Anyone have any ideas?
