I was wrong about the power band. For some reason I seem to remember the S2000 torque curve as more peaky, but looking at dynographs now it's not. Both cars have about a 2000rpm band of toque in the upper range.

I did say it would be close. And looking at the torque curves again, I think these two cars would be neck and neck.
