Perrin tube fitment

Welcome to the Noob club. @pinaygirlcassy

The Perrin inlet tube (the molded L shaped piece) is three inches in diameter which matches the throttle body inlet diameter.
The original Perrin intake was 2.5 inches in diameter and has an adapter (2.5" to 3.0) after the MAF fitting to mate with the inlet tube.

More details that may be helpful:
Perrin designed the 2.5" cold air intake (CAI) so as to not cause check engine lights (CEls which are NGT-not good things ).

The larger 3" CAI must have the engine control unit (ECU)reprogrammed to accommodate the increased airflow otherwise the engine will not have the proper air-to-fuel ratio (AFR) the fuel and oxygen mix needed for safe operation.

Every culture has its own jargon. This one loves acronyms. Hope I've not overwhelmed you with information.

Best of luck with your Twin.
