Any site dedicated to a single car is going to have it's fan boys.... I think the distinction here that is many of us are drawn by the cars true purpose, or "feel".
I think "go-kart" has been used in the past - fun and engaging to drive. Your first and last sentence makes it very clear the type of car you are looking for, so I would agree that you probably be happier with a Boss or EVO... The best part is the industry provides choices for everyone...including mindless fanboys, HP worshipers, and the rest of us.
