Almost forgot about the time some guys from either HT or JDMC showed up to the restaurant we had reservations at, sat down and talked (seemed cool), ordered drinks then left without paying the tab. This happens because meets get cross-posted on forums and people show up to either showoff to "lesser cars" or just be ****s.
In general I think people try to stay away from car meets because of the amount of douchebaggery that goes on... at least I do. Best bet for meets are the regional section on a specific car forum with not a lot of people and everyone knows eachother.
When all the 17 year old yoloswaggineers show up with something to prove, things go south very quickly.

Sadly this happens across the community and isn't specific to JDMC and/or HT, although HT has (IMO) gone to complete shit.
The only "meets" I go to are track events and gatherings of friends. Coming from an Integra Type-R background all of those gatherings are "private" and no locations are posted for obvious reasons. It's incredibly silly that people have to hide nearly 20 year old Hondas for fear of theft.
