there may be a DIY, but it was worth it for me to but the whole package from them for simplicity sake and I knew the warranty would be valid since they're an authorized bel/escort dealer. Hell, the thing goes off 2-3 times and it will have paid for itself in tickets + the subsequent insurance increases.

Yep, worst law ever. Then again, i LOVE this unit. it's rare that i don't get at least 1/2 mile notice, usually more.
